2015 Mayor’s Neighborhood Roundtable Set For Oct. 24

The 2015 Mayor’s Neighborhood Roundtable: Strong Leaders, Healthy Neighborhoods will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, at Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive.

The Mayor’s Neighborhood Roundtable provides an opportunity for neighborhood and business association leaders, residents, community organizers, and other stake holders to learn, share, and network about ways to make neighborhoods great places to live and do business.

At the Roundtable, there will be a Large Group Q & A with Mayor Soglin & Natalie Erdman, DPCED Director. There will also be breakout sessions on Neighborhood Projects and Funding Opportunities. The Neighborhood Roundtable will feature a PechaKucha-like presentation of several neighborhood projects and funding opportunities offered by city and non-city organizations.

The Neighborhood Roundtable will host “Topic Table Discussions” where individuals can selected from pre-scheduled topics or create their own topic tables. These small group discussions can be a time of sharing best practices as well as problem solving with peers. A sign-up will be sent to participants two weeks prior to event. Topics including – neighborhood recruitment, neighborhood walkability, neighborhood safety, and much more.
