The Wisconsin Badgers were slotted at No. 4 in the fifth College Football Playoff rankings released tonight. The ranking means that a win on Saturday over Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game should give them a berth in the four-team bracket and a chance for a national title.

In the new College Football Playoff rankings, Clemson assumed the No. 1 spot and was followed by Auburn, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Alabama.

Rounding out the top 10 are Miami (Fla.), Ohio State, Penn State and Southern California.

Wisconsin (12-0, 9-0 Big Ten) will play for the 2017 Big Ten championship against the Ohio State Buckeyes (10-2, 8-1 Big Ten) at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m., Madison time.
