MADISON, Wis. – A new Festival Foods store in Madison is expected to open April 8.

A release from the company said the store at 810 East Washington Avenue will be Festival Foods’ 22nd location in Wisconsin.

The store will offer natural and organic foods, fresh sushi, a healthy salad and hot food bar as well as a deli and catering services. It also features a seating area above the deli, a community conference room and a Tot Spot, which is Festival Foods’ supervised in-store child care service.

The store will employ about 200 people and be open from 5 a.m. to midnight.

The Madison location features Orion skylights and “green” equipment, including LED and motion sensor lighting. It also has round timber in place of steel or concrete for the structural frame, beams and trusses of the building. The timber was taken from ash trees around Madison that had to be removed because of the threat of the emerald ash borer.

The company will host open interviews for a variety of part-time and full-time jobs at the new location. Open interviews will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on March 3 and 4 and 8 a.m. to noon on March 5 at the DoubleTree by Hilton at 525 West Johnson Street in Madison.
