Channel3000logoSquareRICHLAND CENTER, Wis. – WRCO Radio confirms through Richland Co. Deputy Sheriff Kanable that Joseph Jakubowski was captured at 6:04 Friday morning.

The sheriff’s department told WRCO they got a tip last night at 8:30 p.m.Thursday about Jakubowski and that 4 different counties sheriff departments participated in the search.
He was apparently found off County Highway U in Richland County.
A briefing about the event is expected shortly at Kickapoo High School south of Viola. Law enforcement has confirmed a manhunt has happened near the county line between Richland and Vernon counties early Friday morning.

A command post has been set up at Kickapoo High School south of Viola in connection with the search.

It is unclear at this point whether the search in connected to the hunt for Joseph Jakubowski.

Jakubwoski, 32, is wanted in connection with the April 4 burglary and theft of multiple firearms from Armageddon Supplies, a gun and ammunition store in Janesville, and the arson nearby of a vehicle registered to him less then 30 minutes later.

Vernon County sheriff’s officials have confirmed that all roads closed earlier Friday in connection with police activity have reopened as of 7:30 a.m.
