The Oscar-nominated film “I Am Not Your Negro” will continue screening into next week at Sundance Cinemas. Written by Jame Baldwin the film illustrates Baldwin’s growing understanding and contempt of race relations in the U.S. through the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Medgar Evans.

Sundance Cinemas box office staff said the film has been doing “above average” compared to other films and the film has been showing in its largest theater.

It is unknown how long the film will be showing according the box office, as it is decided on a weekly basis what films will continue to run. For now anyone who has yet to see the film that has been called “difficult, gripping, and crucial,” there is still at least one more week.

The film will also be showing in Milwaukee’s Oriental Theater.
