Multiple media reports indicate that a law enforcement officer shot the driver of a vehicle and possibly one other person after a chase near Milwaukee’s lakefront Sunday evening.
WISN reports that one person was killed in the shooting. Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed an officer-involved shooting Sunday evening, and the Milwaukee Fire Department confirms transporting two individuals to local hospitals. Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation, in accordance with state protocols.
Cell phone video shows a green SUV driving over the median in an attempt to pass stalled traffic in a crowded area. About eight gunshots can be heard in the video.
