The Wisconsin Badgers football team today officially ruled top wide receiver Quintez Cephus out for the rest of the season.
The sophomore had surgery on his right leg Tuesday, per coach Paul Chryst, an injury he suffered in the third quarter of last Saturday’s 45-17 win over Indiana.
The Badgers (9-0, 6-0) moved up one spot to No. 8 in the most recent College Football Playoff rankings.
Cephus leads UW with 30 catches for 501 yards and six touchdowns.
