R&B star R. Kelly has at least six young women held “against their will” in a “cult,” according to the parents of one of the women and other women familiar with the situation.

Veteran music journalist Jim DeRegotis dropped the bombshell story on Buzzfeed this morning.

DeRegotis reports that the an aspiring young singer and her parents met with Kelly backstage two years ago, and he began helping her music career. Over time, her parents saw less and less of her and now have not seen her since December 2016.

Over the past two years, the woman’s parents have become amateur detectives and reported their findings to the FBI and local police.

“Three former members of Kelly’s inner circle — Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones, and Asante McGee — provided details supporting the parents’ worst fears,” according to the Buzzfeed report. “They said six women live in properties rented by Kelly in Chicago and the Atlanta suburbs, and he controls every aspect of their lives: dictating what they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records.”

Mack, Jones and McGee also allege physical abuse and intimidation.

The entire Buzzfeed report contains many more disturbing details.
