Welcoming the Stranger: Immigrant Justice & The Faith Community will take place Wednesday, May 23, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Lussier Community Education Center, 55 S Gammon Rd.

The keynote speaker will be Sergio González, a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research examines the communities that Latino immigrants developed in Wisconsin throughout the twentieth century, with an emphasis on how religion has served as a space for the development of social justice initiatives like the 1980s Sanctuary Movement.
