Latin@ Wisconsin: Needs Assessment and Family Integration will be hosted by Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) and Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies Program on Tuesday, Oct. 24, noon-1:30 p.m. at WISCAPE.

Join WISCAPE for a discussion with Professor Armando Ibarra (Department of Labor Education, UW-Extension) about his applied research study of Latin@ families in seven counties across Wisconsin.

Between 2015 and 2016, Dr. Ibarra and his team collected data through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interviews with Latin@ parents and key community stakeholders. The purpose was to better understand how Latin@ families are integrating into local communities and to assess their educational needs.

Dr. Ibarra will share findings and recommendations that resulted from the study, and discuss implications for higher education.
This event is co-sponsored by the Latin American, Caribbean & Iberian Studies Program and the Chican@ & Latin@ Studies (University of Wisconsin-Madison).

Light refreshments will be served.
