Former First Lady Michelle Obama will be making a stop in Milwaukee as part of her nationwide book tour.

Obama will visit Milwaukee March 14 to speak about her book “Becoming,” Live Nation and the Crown Publishing Group, a division of Penguin Random House, announced today.

The tour for her new book “Becoming” will stop at Miller High Life Theatre, 500 W. Kilbourn Ave., on Thursday, March 14. “Becoming” has already helped the book achieve a publishing milestone, with Barnes & Noble saying that Obama had “the biggest first-week sales of any book this year.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to visit even more cities across the country and around the world,” Mrs. Obama said. “I’ve been so humbled by the response to the tour thus far and the overwhelming interest we’ve received from so many communities we weren’t able to visit this year. That’s why I’m thrilled that we’re able to expand our conversations to these new settings and wider audiences. I can’t wait to continue the discussions that have been so meaningful for me and, I hope, for so many others.”

Obama will speak at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Public ticket sales will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. through BecomingMichelleObama.com.
