Changes to rules of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) will make it possible for Serena Williams to wear her famous black catsuit.
The WTA announced the changes on Dec. 11. The organization will now allow players to wear compression clothing with or without a skirt.

Williams first drew the ire of French Tennis Federation president Bernard Giudicelli after wearing a black catsuit during the French Open last year.
“I believe we have sometimes gone too far. Serena’s outfit this year, for example, would no longer be accepted,” said French Tennis Federation President Bernard Giudicelli to Tennis Magazine. “You have to respect the game and the place.”
