The Madison Arts Commission is pleased to invite you to a reception with Madison’s 6th, and newest, Poet Laureate, Oscar Mireles. Mireles, who officially started his term on Jan. 18, will read along with previous Poets Laureate, at a celebration in his honor on Jan. 31, 2-4 p.m. at Centro Hispano of Dane County, 810 West Badger Road. The formal program begins at 3 p.m., but all are encouraged to arrive at 2 p.m. to enjoy food and music and celebrate the importance of poetry in our community.
