A 14-year-old was shot Tuesday in the Darbo Worthington Neighborhood and is recovering in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Police Chief Mike Koval confirmed Wednesday morning.
Madison Police officers were sent to the area of 3100 Webb Ave just before 9 pm Tuesday in response to a report of shots being fired, according to a Madison Police incident report. The people who called 911 informed the dispatcher that the victim was being driven to the hospital.
Officers were able to locate the victim and followed them to a local hospital. The victim is being treated for a non-life threatening wound. The investigation is still on-going at this time, according to the police statement.
