Latinos Organizing for Understanding and Development (LOUD) announced on Thursday afternoon that it will host an opening reception for the Black History Month Art Exhibition on Friday, Feb. 2, 4:30-6:30 pm at the LOUD Gallery at Omega School, 835 W. Badger Rd.
“This exhibition on the South Side of Madison is a great opportunity to showcase the immense talent and artistry that comes from diverse neighborhoods in Dane County,” says Oscar Mireles, the curator of the LOUD gallery. “The Black History Month Art Exhibition captures the many different voices and visions of diversity.”
Latinos Organizing for Understanding and Development (LOUD) is a statewide initiative focused on promoting collaboration between Latino arts and service organizations, artists, and the communities in which they operate.
The Black History Month Art Exhibition will continue LOUD’s efforts to recognize artistic diversity in Dane County, including the Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibition last fall at the Overture Center for the Arts.
The Black History Month Art Exhibition will be on display through Feb. 29.
