Forward Madison FC has signed forward Stephen Annor Gyamfi, pending league and federation approval.

Annor, 22, is originally from Accra, Ghana, and developed at Montverde Academy in Florida, where he was the top scorer in the United Premier Soccer League in 2020 with an astonishing 20 goals in nine matches. He went on to train with the Canadian National First Team and trial with Philadelphia Union and Las Vegas Lights FC before enrolling at the University of Virginia in 2023.

With the Cavaliers, Annor was named ACC Freshman of the Year after scoring 10 goals — including five game-winners — in 19 matches. He was also named to the All-ACC first team and the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region first team.

Annor was selected by Houston Dynamo in the first round of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft and spent two seasons with Houston Dynamo II, recording nine goals and one assist in 45 appearances.

The 6-foot striker has already been training with Forward Madison during the preseason, scoring in the club’s 4-0 win over Chicago Fire II. He will travel with the team to Knoxville to open the 2026 USL League One season before the club’s home opener on May 16 against Detroit City FC at Breese Stevens Field.
