Madison Common Council president Sheri Carter will keep her seat despite a spirited campaign from community activist Brandi Grayson.
Ultimately Carter, who represents Madison’s South Side, won handily, with 65 percent of the vote for a total of 1,078 votes to Grayson’s 571.
