WIsconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Acting Secretary Andrea Palm has signed an order to curb gatherings of 10 or more people to help stop the spread of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
The order also closes all bars in the state as of 5 pm Tuesday, Governor Tony Evers said in a media briefing. The orders come as public health officials have documented “community spread” in Dane, Milwaukee and Kenosha counties, meaning they are unable to trace the origin of some new cases. The order also deems that restaurants can only offer take out and delivery.
As reported on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) Covid-19 Outbreaks in Wisconsin, there are 19 known positive cases in Dane County which is an increase of two from the 17 reported early today by the Public Health Services of Madison & Dane County. DHS reports that statewide there are now 72 positive cases, up from 47 yesterday.
