Forward Madison will open its season at defending champions One Knoxville, and close the season at home against perennial rival Union Omaha.
Those are two of 38 matches announced Tuesday, including 34 league matches and four group stage matches in the Prinx Tires USL Cup tournament.
The season gets underway Saturday, March 14 at Knoxville, where the defending champions never lost during 2025.
Forward Madison will not have a home league match until they host league newcomers Corpus Christi FC on May 29. They will however host USL Championship (second division) side Detroit City FC in league cup group stage match on May 16. The home opener is later than usual because the club is installing new turf at Breese Stevens Field.
Five new clubs making their USL League One debut this season brings the table to 18 teams. Every club will play every other club twice, once at home and once away. Additionally, USL League One and USL Championship clubs, 43 in all, are divided into seven groups for the Prinx Tires USL Cup. Madison’s other group stage opponents are Indy Eleven and Union Omaha.
Forward Madison will also participate in the US Open Cup, with an opening round match between its first two league matches, on March 17, 18 or 19.
