James Damore, who last year was fired from Google after writing a manifesto of sorts against the company’s efforts at gender equity, has filed a class action lawsuit alleging discrimination based on “perceived conservative political views, male gender and Caucasian race.”
Damore is joined in the lawsuit by former Google engineer David Gudeman.
A spokesperson for Google said they “look forward to defending against Mr Damore’s lawsuit in court.”
The lawsuit claims the company uses illegal hiring quotas and fails to protect conservative white men from discrimination.
