Forward Madison has signed center back Jason Ramos to a 25-day contract, the club announced in a press release Thursday.
Ramos, 27, previously played for Forward Madison in 2023, appearing in six games toward the end of the season on loan from Minnesota United II. He then joined Central Valley Fuego for the 2024 season but played in only three games before suffering a season-ending injury.
At 6’4″, Ramos will add some size to the Mingos backline, which will be missing the 6’3″ Mitch Osmond for the remainder of the season due to injury. He will also add depth for the month of August, when Forward Madison has seven games scheduled.
“We’re very pleased to add Jason to our roster at a pivotal time in our season,” Forward Madison FC Head Coach and Technical Director Matt Glaeser said in a statement. “Jason has been with us before and understands our club and how we want to play. He’s an experienced center back who’s had success in our league and is composed on the ball. His size and presence will add depth and quality to our group.”
Madison hosts Lancaster, California club AV Alta at 5 pm Saturday at Breese Stevens Field.
