MADISON, Wis. — Badgers guard Kobe King announced Wednesday afternoon on Instagram that he is transferring out of the program.

“You guys have always supported me through frustrating times, and you guys will forever be [a part] of my family,” King wrote.

The redshirt-sophomore from La Crosse missed much of his freshman season in 2017-18 with a knee injury, but played 34 games last season and averaged 4.2 points per game.

King missed the Badgers game at Iowa on Monday night for ‘personal reasons.’
