Brandon Williams, the former University of Wisconsin and NFL wide receiver who now impacts people and communities around the country as a motivational speaker and mentor, will return as host and Master of Ceremonies for the seventh annual 365 Leadership Summit on October 28 at the Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club.
The 365 Leadership Summit, now in its seventh year, is the state’s premier professional development, networking and community-building event. The event will feature more than 20 panel discussions on a wide range of topics, all led by people of color, as well as the sixth annual 365 Leadership Community Choice Awards.
Nearly 700 people attended the sixth 365 Leadership Summit last year.
“Brandon brings a dynamic and necessary voice to this gathering,” said Henry Sanders, CEO of 365 Media, which organizes the Summit in addition to operating the two leading publications for people of color in the Midwest, Madison365 and Blueprint365. “We will work through a lot of issues in the breakout panel sessions and workshops, and Brandon is uniquely able to bring it all together. He’s truly one of a kind.”
“The 365 leadership summit is extremely important and critical to the fabric of Wisconsin because we have to properly identify black and brown change makers across this state. Doing this uplifts the underrepresented communities that make this state go,” Williams said. “It helps young ppl, see and hear from ppl who look like them and come from where they live. Seeing these change makers is game changing for the mindsets, mentalities and motivations to go out in the world and do the same.”
