The Milwaukee Bucks have fired head coach Adrian Griffin after just 43 games.

The Bucks announced the decision Tuesday afternoon alongside a statement from general manager Jon Horst, confirming earlier reports from sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski

“This was a difficult decision to make during the season,” Horst said. “We are working immediately toward hiring our next head coach. We thank Coach Griffin for his hard work and contributions to the team.”

Bucks assistant coach Joe Prunty will serve as interim head coach.

Milwaukee is currently 30-13 and tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the league’s second-best record.
