Local nonprofit Selfless Ambition is partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County and the Wisconsin Badgers to bring holiday joy to families in need, and are seeking donations to make it happen.

“People really came through in our Gifts for Kids campaign. It was our second campaign, in partnership with Metcalfe’s and iHeartRadio. People’s generosity never ceases to amaze me, and last week we delivered about 300 gifts to our partner schools,” said Henry Sanders, CEO of Selfless Ambition. “That leaves us with about 148 gifts to buy.”

Sanders is also CEO of 365 Media, the parent company of Madison365.

Additionally, Boys and Girls Club of Dane County CEO said he hopes to take at least five local families holiday shopping.

“I am excited that Boys & Girls Clubs is working working with Selfless Ambition to help so many kids this year,” said Boys and Girls Club of Dane County CEO Michael Johnson. “I am also proud that all seven of these young men from the Wisconsin Basketball Program will join us with local school teachers to shop for and with families on Thursday night at Target. “

To top if off, Johnson announced last night that seven members of the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team will be on hand to help out with the shopping trip. Aleem Ford, Samad Qawi, D’mitrik Price, Kobe King, Brad Davison, Brevin Pritzil and Carter Higginbottom will all be in attendance.

Both shopping sprees will happen Thursday at Target Hilldale, which has offered a 30 percent discount to the dual efforts. Dinner will be provided for the shoppers and families by Dave Heide of Liliana’s Restaurant.

Both efforts still need financial support. Sanders said each of the 148 gifts will cost about $40. Anyone able to donate can do so at http://selflessambition.org or by mailing a check to Selfless Ambition, 101 N. Klein Dr., PO Box 393, Waunakee, WI 53597.
