With the first significant snow event arriving in southern Wisconsin late tonight and lasting through Wednesday, the Madison School District and dozens of school districts in the area have announced the cancellation of schools on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Channel3000 has the full listing of cancellations here.
Due to the significant winter storm — Channel3000 is predicting between 6-10 inches of snow — trash and recycling collection will be suspended for Tuesday and drop-off sites will also be closed on Tuesday, according to a press release from the City of Madison. No makeup date for the suspended collection has been determined at this time.
