USL W League Madison has announced that longtime Wisconsin coach Tenzin Rampa will serve as an assistant coach for the club’s inaugural season.
Rampa, a Madison native, has spent 16 years with Elmbrook United (formerly Brookfield SA), where he currently serves as the U11/U12 Girls Technical Director alongside USL W League Madison head coach Giuliano Oliviero and technical director Liz Lawrence. His coaching experience also includes international work with the Tibetan National Team, as well as stints coaching teams from Cyprus, Belgium, Portugal, and London in various CONIFA tournaments.
Oliviero praised Rampa’s work ethic and consistency, calling him “a true example of what it means to be committed to the team and the craft.”
Before his coaching career, Rampa played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he represented the program at the 2007 NCAA Leadership Conference. He also played for the Tibet National Team in 2006. He later spent a decade with the Milwaukee Wave, serving as team captain for two years and assistant coach for three.
Rampa said he was “honored to help grow the game in a city I love and grew up playing soccer in.”
USL W League Madison will begin its first season at Breese Stevens Field in May 2026. The team’s brand and crest are expected to launch in December, followed by a season schedule release in January.
