Urban Triage will host its 4th Annual Urban Triage Harvest Festival, a joyful celebration of the achievements of its agriculture program, on Saturday, Sept. 6, 3-8 p.m. at the Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability.
The festival will feature jugglers, stilt walkers, soul food, activities for children, aerialist performances, face painting, bouncy houses, tightrope performances, caramel apple stations, popcorn, a magic show and a live band.
Urban Triage is a Madison non-profit that centers Blackness as it transforms culture, institutions, and communities to ensure a humane future. The annual Harvest Fest is one of the organization’s signature events.
“This year’s festival is rooted in the themes of sustainability, community, and empowerment. We will honor the collective efforts of our community partners, volunteers, and supporters in advancing agriculture, joy, family well-being, and economic empowerment,” Urban Triage said in a press release announcing the event.
To ensure the event is welcoming and accessible to all, Urban Triage will provide free shuttle services to and from the farm. The shuttles are wheelchair-accessible and designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities. In addition, golf carts will be available on-site to support accessibility throughout the festival grounds.
The Linda and Gene Farley Center for Peace, Justice & Sustainability is located at 2299 Spring Road in Verona.
