The Madison Night Market will return on Thursday, March 14, showcasing local businesses, more than 100 vendors, live music and great food in downtown Madison.
The month of May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, and Madison’s Central Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to celebrate its incredible contributions to the downtown community, including 34 AAPI-owned businesses.
Unique cultural programming at the inagural Madison Nigh Market will include:
Peace Park Performance Stage
- 5:30-6:45 p.m.: Wisconsin Tibetan Language & Culture School – Presenting vibrant traditional dances from three historic regions of Tibet.
- 7-9 p.m.: Zhong Yi Kung Fu Association – Lion dance and kung fu demonstrations.

Family Activity Zone
- Okinawan Taiko Drumming with Desia Xiong!
Learn Esia dance (aka Japanese taiko drumming from Okinawa) with Desia! Eisa is a dynamic festival dance incorporating taiko drums, dynamic movement, and martial arts.

The Madison Night Market Family Activity Zone is filled with a rotating slate of family-friendly activities to keep kids creative, active and having fun with community partners. The May 14 market will feature:
- MADabolic Madison – Exercise challenges for all ages and ability levels.
- MSCR – Clay on the Move. Discover the world of clay through hands-on experiences! Clay on the Move is a mobile pottery program offering hand-building and potters’ wheel opportunities for community members of all ages.
- Witte Artistry – High-energy, kid-friendly face painting.
