Madison Museum of Contemporary Art will host African American Women: Femininity and Strength on Thursday, Feb. 28, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, 227 State St.

Inspired by Nathaniel Mary Quinn’s painting, Sandra Adell, Melanie Herzog, and Linda Mathis-Rose will discuss femininity and strength as celebrated in the African American community.

Sandra Adell is a professor of Afro-American Studies at the UW-Madison, Melanie Herzog is professor of art and dean of the School of Arts & Sciences at Edgewood College, and Linda Mathis-Rose is an educator and freelance visual artist.
