Forward Madison FC has acquired midfielder Temitayo Ereku on loan from Birmingham Legion FC, the club announced Friday. The move is pending league and federation approval.

Ereku, 21, is a versatile player capable of contributing both in midfield and along the back line. Originally from Nigeria, Ereku has represented his country at the U-20 level and began his professional career in Lithuania with FK Ekranas in 2023 before signing with Birmingham in January.

“We are excited to welcome Temi to Forward Madison for the rest of the 2025 season,” head coach and technical director Matt Glaeser said in a statement. “He is a young, talented and hungry player … Temi is excited to join our environment and help us accomplish our goals for 2025.”

Ereku has appeared in three matches this season for Birmingham, including one start in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. He is the second player to join the Mingos from Birmingham this season, following the May loan of forward Lucca Dourado.

Ereku’s addition comes as Forward Madison looks to stabilize a roster impacted by injuries midway through the season. The team defeated Greenville Triumph 3-1 on Saturday and host Charlotte Independence at 7 pm Wednesday.
