Fox News host Tucker Carlson claimed that America’s white supremacy problem “is a hoax,” and compared it to the investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Carlson lashed out at the media for criticizing President Donald Trump’s response to the El Paso and Dayton mass shootings on his Tuesday night show.

“This is a hoax, just like the Russian hoax,” Carlson said on his show “‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.”  “It’s a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power.

“It’s actually not a real problem in America,” he continued. “The combined membership of every white supremacist organization in this country would be able to fit inside a college football stadium.”

The suspected gunman in the recent El Paso mass shooting posted a racist manifesto complaining about a “Hispanic invasion” online before the shooting.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said that the bureau has made about 100 arrests of domestic terrorism since October and that the majority of them were tied to white supremacy.
