Griselda Aldrete has joined Hansen Reynolds as a partner in its Milwaukee office, the firm announced Tuesday.

She will focus on criminal, commercial, law enforcement, discrimination and employment litigation, according to the announcement.

“Griselda’s understanding of the political, legislative, regulatory, and administrative landscape in the community will provide the firm with strategic partnerships and collaborations across the firm’s footprint, in and outside of Milwaukee,” the firm said in the announcement. “Her extensive background and experiences give Griselda a unique ability to think outside the box, make connections and help parties find solutions to their interests and needs.”

Aldrete spent the past two years as director of stakeholder engagement at Alliant Energy following a year as executive director of the Milwaukee Police and Fire Commission.

Prior to that, she served as President and CEO of Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee for many years. She has taught criminal justice courses to college students at several area institutions of higher education. While growing up on Milwaukee’s South Side, she graduated from St. Joan Antida High School and then went to Marquette University, where she earned her undergraduate and law degrees. She also has a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Nebraska.

Aldrete was named one of Madison365’s most influential Latino leaders and has served as a panelist and moderator and several 365 Leadership Summit events.
