Wisconsin Health Literacy (WHL), a division of Wisconsin Literacy, Inc., is partnering with eight other states to host the inaugural Health Literacy Collaborative Summit on Monday-Tuewday, April 8-9, at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in downtown Madison.

An expansion of its traditional Health Literacy Summit, this Summit will bring together healthcare professionals, educators, and advocates from across the nation to explore innovative strategies for improving health literacy and achieving health equity, according to a press release from WHL, and will feature a groundbreaking new framework, unveiled by The Rippel Foundation, that ties together the themes of the conference under the banner of “Transforming the Future of Health and Well-Being, Together.”

Distinguished speakers, including Silas Buchanan, Dr. Orkan Okan, Laurelle Myhra, Erik Salna, Dr. Saida M. Abdi, and co-presenters, Komal Razvi and Jason Schulist, will lead discussions on innovative approaches to health literacy. Emphasizing the vital intersections between eHealth equity, education, climate science, trauma resilience, and digital health strategies, the summit aims to showcase the breadth and depth of expertise necessary to address the complexities of health literacy.
