Jacobs, other Packers players & alumni to appear at Madison fundraiser Wednesday

Current and former members of the Green Bay Packers will be in Madison on April 9 as part of a statewide fundraising tour. The Packers are raising money to benefit Dairyland Sports, a Madison-based nonprofit focused on improving sports and fitness accessibility for people with physical disabilities.

The Packers will be at Garver Feed Mill, at 3241 Garver Green, on Madison’s east side beginning at 5pm on Wednesday evening.

The event is open to the public and will include an exclusive VIP event prior to a large fundraiser. The fundraiser itself is expected to include silent and live auctions, a cheese raffle, door prizes and other entertainment.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs is headlining the contingent of current Packers the team is planning to have in attendance. Jacobs, 26, joined the Packers last season after five seasons with the Raiders. Jacobs was the team’s leading rusher last season and scored 15 touchdowns.

Third-year player Lukas Van Ness and tight end Tucker Kraft will join Jacobs in the group of current Packers players.

Four-time pro bowler Ahman Green will also be in attendance.

Tickets can be purchased here and include food and a drink token.

The Packers will be making stops throughout the state over the next few days. They will be at a Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation event at the Baird Center in Milwaukee tomorrow; a Hunger Task Force of La Crosse event at the Stoney Creek Hotel in Onalaska on Thursday; The Patriot K9s of Wisconsin at the Crystal Training Institute in Mosinee on Friday; and Children’s Wisconsin at the EPIC Event Center in Ashwaubenon on Saturday afternoon.
