Jennifer Hudson joined an exclusive club Sunday, becoming only the 17th person — and only the second Black woman — to win the EGOT: an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony.
Hudson is a producer of A Strange Loop, which won Best Musical at the 75th annual Tony Awards, honoring the best of Broadway.
Hudson won a 2021 Daytime Emmy for her role as executive producer for Baby Yaga, Grammy awards for The Color Purple and her debut self-titled studio album, and a 2007 Oscar for best supporting actress in Dreamgirls.
Whoopi Goldberg was the first Black woman to net all four major awards.
