La Fête de Marquette, one of Madison’s largest outdoor music festivals, will bring the vibrant energy of French culture, live music, and community celebration to the city’s East Side this weekend. Hosted by the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, this free, family-friendly event kicks off at McPike Park tonight.
La Fête de Marquette will feature world-class performances, fabulous food, refreshing drinks and activities for all ages and performances by renowned musical groups such as Los Lobos, Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, VO5, DJ Femme Noir, The Kissers, and Rockin’ Dopsie & the Zydeco Twisters, and much more.
Rooted in the spirit of Bastille Day, Fête de Marquette celebrates the area’s rich history and diverse cultural influences, offering an eclectic mix of music alongside a bustling marketplace of local vendors and artisans.
This year, Madison’s Irish Fest will be held on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Fête. Madison Irish Fest has long celebrated Irish culture in song, dance, crafts and spoken word.
Proceeds from Fête de Marquette support the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, helping fund essential programs and services for the community.
