The opening event of Madison Black Restaurant Week has been canceled due to thunderstorms in the area.

The event was set to take place from 2 to 6 pm today at Warner Park.

“We were prepared for rain or shine,” the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce wrote in an email to supporters and members. “But not lightning.”
