Madison College will host a candidate forum for Dane County executive with candidates Dana Pellebon and Melissa Agard on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 12:30-2 p.m. on the Truax Campus in Room D1630.

The event, which will be live-streamed, will be held in collaboration with Student Life and the WolfPack Votes Student Voter Engagement Team. Food will be served at 12:30 pm and the official forum will kick off at 1 p.m.

The event is open to the public and will feature questions that focus on student civic engagement. According to a press release from Madison College, topics for questions will include public education funding, affordable housing and homelessness, natural resource conservation, civic engagement, public transportation, women’s rights, the Israel-Hamas War and Hispanic services.

There will also be time at the end for some questions from the audience. The questions were based off the biggest issues reported by either Madison College students or Dane County residents through the Wisconsin Public Radio America Amplified project. Data from Wisconsin Public Radio and local news sources also contributed to the formatting of the questions.
