The annual Madison Hmong New Year Celebration, one of the largest Hmong cultural events in Wisconsin, is returning to the Alliant Energy Center on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2 and 3.
Hosted by the Wisconsin Hmong Association, Inc., this event is open to the public and welcomes individuals of all backgrounds to join in the celebration.
“This vibrant cultural festival showcases the rich traditions and heritage of the Hmong community through music, dance, food, and traditional attire,” the Madison Hmong New Year Committee said in a press release announcing the event. “Attendees will have the chance to experience exciting cultural performances, a marketplace featuring Hmong crafts and cuisine, as well as games and activities for all ages”
Special guests will include local leaders, cultural performers, and vendors from the Midwest. The event offers a unique opportunity for the broader community to engage with Hmong traditions and celebrate cultural diversity, while also serving as an important gathering for the Hmong community to honor their heritage and share it with future generations.
