Madison schools, along with several other districts in the area, will be closed tomorrow due to extreme cold.
The National Weather Service issued an extreme cold warning for most of eastern and southern Wisconsin, in effect from midnight until noon tomorrow. Windchill temperatures are expected to be as low as 35 degrees below zero on Tuesday morning.
Madison Metropolitan School District announced that schools will be closed and all after-school activities canceled. It will be a traditional weather closure, the district announced, not a remote learning day.
