The Madison365 13U girls basketball team rolled through the Windy City Classic in Milwaukee over the weekend, outscoring four opponents by a total of 203 – 85.
The weekend started with a convincing 56-21 win over Minnesota Stars. The girls kept it going in the early game Saturday, limiting No Limit in a 51-20 victory. They sealed their group with a dominant 44-12 win over 1ON1 Milwaukee.
The team then earned the title in the championship game Sunday, beating Champan Basketball Academy 52-32.
“Our team is building brick by brick to get better as a team,” head coach Henry Sanders said. ” (I’m) extremely proud of the effort our players showed this past weekend. The key for us is to take what we learned this tournament and keep the momentum going this weekend in Iowa.”
The team next heads to the Quad Cities Showdown in Bettendorf, Iowa.
