The Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) will host a parent engagement session at Mount Zion Baptist Church on Madison’s south side Thursday, Jan. 7, 5:30-7:30 p.m. to increase awareness and gather parent feedback.
The purpose of the event is for community members and parents of students to learn more about proposed changes to MMSD high schools and to give feedback to ensure all MMSD students become college, career, and community ready.
The mission of the MMSD is to close the gaps in opportunity that lead to disparities in achievement and to ensure that every child graduates ready for college, career, and community, which requires embracing a culture of excellence with equity. The belief of the Madison Metropolitan School District is that every child can be successful, if provided the unique required support.
