The Northside Planning Council will host the fourth annual Northside Festival on Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Warner Park’s Madison Mallards Stadium. The free, family-friendly event celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of Madison’s Northside community with food, music, games, and dozens of local vendors.
“The Northside Festival is a chance for people to come out and showcase what they do,” said Helen Osborn-Senatus, a Northside Planning Council board member and festival organizer. “It’s just a good celebration of the Northside put on by Northsiders.”
Organizers expect to build on last year’s estimated attendance of around 2,000 people, offering a space for residents and visitors to connect, support local businesses, and enjoy activities like bouncy houses, face painting, and potentially a dunk tank featuring local celebrities. Local food trucks and the River Food Pantry’s Munch truck will provide plenty of dining options, including a free meal option.
“We love the Northside. We’re going to celebrate the Northside, but we also want to invite anybody who wants to come spend time with us,” Osborn-Senatus said. “We’d love to see you. We’ll show off our side of town.”
Vendor registration is still open, with no fee for nonprofits and discounted rates for Northside businesses. Interested participants can sign up via the event page on Facebook.
Madison365 is proud to serve as a media sponsor for the festival. Full entertainment and music lineups will be announced closer to the event date.
