The City of Madison officially kicks off the public process for developing a plan for the future of South Madison tonight at the Catholic Multicultural Center, 1862 Beld St. Tonight’s meeting will focus on “Assets, Opportunities & Challenges.”

South Madison residents of the City of Madison, Town of Madison, the business community, and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend this important first meeting to create a shared vision for South Madison.

In 2005, the South Madison community identified what was relevant to the community and what actions could be taken to build upon the assets and address the challenges. The South Madison Neighborhood Plan has been used over the last 15 years to help strengthen the area. In 2022, a portion of the Town of Madison will be attached to the City and will add approximately 2,500 new City residents within the planning area.
