SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison is looking for a little community help as they host a back-to-school drive, in partnership with Lincoln Elementary School, in order to get students ready for the new school year.
Lincoln Elementary, SSM Health St. Mary’s adopt-a-school program partner, is located just off Park Street on Madison’s South Side, close to the Beltline Highway. The drive is taking place through Aug. 18 and the organizers hope it will kickstart a year of learning for the students.
The list of needed school supplies includes: composition notebooks wide ruled (not spiral); Crayola washable markers (including “Colors of the World” skin tone); gallon/quart size Ziplock bags; glue sticks (including disappearing purple glue sticks); headphones (not earbuds); index cards; kid-size scissors; pencils (quality), pink erasers, plastic folders; post-it notes; snacks (large boxes of granola bars, pretzels, fruit snacks, applesauce from Costco or Sam’s Club), and whiteboard markers.
Donation bins for all of these items are located at the main entrances of St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison, Dean Medical Group South Madison Campus, East Clinic, West Clinic, and Turville Bay.
