The UW Odyssey Project and Madison Commons will host a Know-Your-Rights Q&A with legal experts Atty. David Sparer and Atty. Mitch from UW-Madison’s Law School and Coleman Ubl from the Tenant Resource Center on Monday, April 21 at 5:30 pm at the UW South Madison Partnership, 2238 S. Park Street in Madison. The event is open to all community members.

This free presentation by legal and housing experts will cover essential information for renters, especially those affected by negligent landlords. A question and answer period will follow the presentation. Dinner will be served.
David Sparer is a UW-Madison Law School graduate and director of the Eviction Defense Clinic. He has practiced in Dane County for 45 years, focusing on representing renters in all kinds of claims and defenses, including deposit claims, retaliation claims, rent abatement claims, and fair housing.
Mitch is a UW-Madison Law School graduate and Director of the Economic Justice Institute, which houses several Law School public-interest clinics. He teaches courses on housing law, employment law, and public interest legal practice through the Neighborhood Law Clinic.
Coleman Ubl is the Eviction Diversion and Defense Partnership Case Management and Services Manager at Madison’s Tenant Resource Center.
