The Catholic Multicultural Center (CMC) on Madison’s South Side will host its Christmastime Festival (Fiesta Decembrinas), an annual fundraiser and community celebration with La Movida Spanish Radio, on Friday, Dec. 13, 4-8 p.m.
The Christmastime Festival will feature live entertainment, Christmastime foods from throughout the Americas, a silent auction, a Christmas market to stock up on holiday gifts from area vendors, face painting by Metamorfaces, and more.
The Christmastime Festival will also feature performances by virtuoso guitarist Richard Hildner Armacanqui and Ballet Folklorico de Carlos y Sonia Avila The event will be recorded live by La Movida Radio.
The Bilingual Mass will be celebrated one hour before the event at 3 p.m. with Bishop Donald J Hying.
“Donations will support the Catholic Multicultural Center’s food pantry, daily free meal program, and food pantry garden,” the Catholic Multicultural Center said in a press release announcing the event. “By coming together to celebrate this special time of year with us, you will help CMC distribute 160,000 pounds of food, grow 8,000 pounds of fresh, healthy produce, and serve 12,000 nutritious hot meals.”
All are welcome to the event. The cost to participate is a donation of $1 or more. The Catholic Multicultural Center is located at 1862 Beld St. For more information, click here.
