    In Rigged: How Black Men Fuel the Prison-Industrial Complex, Editor in Chief A. David Dahmer found out that the prison system is built around (and is profiting massively from) black labor. And it’s easy to get into the system, but it’s almost impossible to get out.

    Abigail Becker of the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism reported that Wisconsin’s black-white achievement gap is the worst in the nation, despite decades of efforts.

    We learned that the Obama Administration had tapped former Madison police chief Noble Wray to lead a new police reform effort in the United States Department of Justice.
