UW’s Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month kicks off tonight with Heritage Festival

    April is Asian Pacific Islander Desi American(APIDA) Heritage Month at UW-Madison and the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month Committee will be hosting its kick-off event, the APIDA Heritage Festival, tonight from 6-9 p.m. at the Multicultural Student Center Lounge of the Red Gym on the UW-Madison campus.

    The Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month is a month-long celebration and uplifting of Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) identities, experiences, histories and cultures.

    The theme of this month’s celebration is “Courage in Community,” highlighting the conscious and political choice to seek unity among the distinct and unique cultures and ethnicities that make up the APIDA community in America. For a whole itinerary of UW APIDA events, click here.

    Tonight’s APIDA Heritage Festival will feature a variety of fun activities, APIDA student organizations, and street-style food.
